View saved passwords on Mac<\/h2>\n

Apple introduced the new Passwords<\/strong> app at WWDC on June 10, 2024. It\u2019s available on devices running iOS 18<\/strong>, iPadOS 18<\/strong>, macOS Sequoia, and visionOS 2 or later. With these updates, the old Keychain<\/strong> app has been gradually replaced. Before proceeding, please check your system version. On supported OS versions, the default password manager is now Passwords, though Keychain may still appear on older systems.<\/p>\n

Find Saved Passwords in Passwords App<\/h3>\n

  1. Go to Launchpad<\/strong> (or use Spotlight search).<\/li>\n
  2. Search for “Passwords”<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  3. Open the Passwords app<\/strong>.\"Mac<\/picture><\/li>\n
  4. You may need to authenticate using your Mac’s login password, Touch ID, or Apple Watch<\/strong> to view or edit specific password details.<\/li>\n
  5. Your saved passwords, passkeys, Wi-Fi passwords, and other secure information will be displayed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Open Finder<\/strong> and go to Applications<\/strong> > Utilities<\/strong>.

    3. In the search bar in the top right-hand corner, type \u201cPasswords<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n
    4. Search through the list of passwords, and when you find the one you\u2019re looking for, double-click on it.

    6. Enter your user account password.

          View saved passwords on Mac with Chrome.<\/h2>\n

          Chrome is many people’s preferred browser, but by default, it does not work with Keychain. Instead, Chrome saves its own passwords. Below we explain how to view your saved passwords in Chrome on your Mac.
          \n1. Open Chrome and select > Chrome<\/strong> > Preferences<\/strong> > Autofill<\/strong> > Passwords<\/strong>.

          \n2. Scroll down to the Saved Passwords<\/strong> section.
          \n3. Click on the eye icon to the right of the password you want to view.

          \n4. In the pop-up window that appears, enter your user account password and click OK.
          \n5. The password will appear in the Password column.
          \n6. To hide the password again, click the eye icon again.<\/p>\n
